Ali + Tommy | Cove Farm Wedding MD

There is something so special about a family farm. Every inch of the property has memories of days gone by. What better place to start a new chapter in your life than surrounded by family heirlooms, paintings of lost but well loved relatives and the old farm house where everyone gathered together.

Ali and Tommy celebrated these moments on their special day. Ali wrote letters of love to her parents and to Tommy. They were married in their family’s historic church and drove down the road with tin cans dangling from their car. Hand painted signs showed guests the way to Cove Farm.

Rain fell in sheets on their day. Not wanting to give up on the gorgeous views, we grabbed a shower curtain and headed out into the weather in our boots and raincoats. Ali stood on the shower curtain to help keep her dress dry and we sheltered her as much as we could from the elements with umbrellas. Ali and Tommy were dedicated and excited to have this momentous day be interwoven with the many generations before them that loved this land. One of my favorite moments was when we went to see the horses. Ali’s horse came right up to her and greeted her by the gate. When in the field, both horses came by to see them. It was such an endearing moment.

The wedding details were also on theme as guests collected their horseshoe escort card and watched the Preakness Race before dinner. It was a glorious day! Guests partied and danced late into the evening and gave Ali and Tommy a proper sparkler send off.
